Suffolk Community Libraries is back at Suffolk’s biggest music festival this week with a packed programme of family activities!

Latitude Festival takes place from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 July at Henham Park and our gazebo can be found in the Kids Area all weekend.

The surrounding woods and wonderful Latitude location is the perfect backdrop for these family activities if you’re visiting the festival with your family:

Forest of Stories – for ages 0–5

Step into a magical world of stories! Discover our Forest of Stories reading programme designed for families with children aged 0-5 to encourage them to borrow books and read every day. Plus it’s all beautifully illustrated with a family of woodland animal friends.

Little Library – for all ages

Looking for the perfect forest tale? Pop by our charming little library for little readers. Browse, borrow and snuggle up for a story or two across the weekend.

Early Years Playscape – for ages 0-5

Let imaginations run wild in our Forest of Stories Playscape – a magical space created especially for little librarians by Make Play. This open-ended play zone invites little explorers to connect with stories, nature, and each other through creative, sensory play. Come, stay, and play the forest way!

Silent Disco Stories – for ages 11+

Pop on a pair of silent disco headphones and wander into the the nearby woods for a listening adventure with your little ones. Listen to nature-inspired tales while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the real forest. A calming, immersive experience for curious minds.

Forest Craft Corner, for ages 5 and up

Get creative with our hands-on forest craft corner! Drop in anytime over the weekend to colour and/or make something wild and wonderful with natural materials and a little imagination. Perfect for kids who love to make, stick and decorate.
