Special cards for teachers and home educators
We offer two special cards for teachers and home educators to help you get the best out of the library.
Teacher’s Library Cards
For £50 a year, schools can borrow up to 35 books for 17 weeks at a time. For more information and to apply, call 0345 60 630 60 or email library.help@suffolk.gov.uk.
Home Educator Library Cards
A free additional card that allows you to borrow up to 20 books for 12 weeks at a time if you teach your children at home. For more information and to apply, visit your local library.

Topic booklists
Browse our recommended books, chosen to support studies in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. All books are free to borrow with your library card.

Reading for pleasure
Our libraries are the perfect place to support children reading for pleasure. With 1000s of titles in stock, all free to borrow and reserve, there’s something for every kind of reader.

Schools Programme
Our Schools Programme provides community cohesion between schools and public libraries to support literacy levels across the county.
