Suffolk Community Libraries is relaunching the exciting DiscoveReads reading programme for 2026.
DiscoveReads can help you find new and exciting reads and get you talking about books. This year there is a selection of eight books recommended by readers across the county. It’s a great way to find something new and different to read if you don’t know where to start.
Collections of this year’s chosen titles are now available to borrow from libraries in Thurston, Needham Market, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Stowmarket, Mildenhall, Brandon and Beccles. You can also reserve them from the online catalogue to collect from your local library.

- The Garden Against Time by Olivia Laing
- Glorious Exploits by Ferdia Lennon
- Human Kind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman
- Creation Lake by Rachel Kushner

- Clear by Carys Davies
Paul Howarth, Library Content Engagement & Development Manager for Suffolk Community Libraries, said:
“DiscoveReads is a unique way to take your reading to new places. We love recommending new titles for our readers and this is a great way of people borrowing, reading and talking about a book they might not overwise discover.
“The books range from historical fiction, horror, thriller, romance and two fascinating non-fiction books on the subject of gardens and humankind. There is something for everyone so we hope people will dive into our DiscoveReads books and find something they like!”
