Join local artist, Amy Wragg, for a nature themed (fan)zine making session!
Zines (pronounced 'zeen') are handmade DIY pamphlets, that rose to fame through the underground music scene. Zines are made using collage, drawings, and your imagination. This special workshop will focus on our relationship with nature, what we love about it, and the small ways we can help our local environment in our everyday life.
This will be a relaxing session, suitable for all ages and abilities. No special skills needed. All materials included, pens, pencils, paper, etc. Along with a vast array of lovely things to try like stencils, stamps, washi tape, thermal printing, plus loads of interesting magazines and print to cutup.
This workshop is suitable for all ages. Drop in to the library anytime between 15:30 and 17:30 to explore zine making!
Amy Wragg is a poet, performer, zine maker, and founder of SoapBox Spoken Word CIC. Amy is a New Wolsey Theatre Associate Artist 2026-2028. She was recently commissioned by SPILL to bring to life her provocative live art installation, Penny for Your Thoughts, highlighting the attention economy, at Transactionland in Ipswich.
Amy works with themes such as social justice, feminism, political polarisation, community cohesion, and environmental activism. She is a prolific (fan)zine maker, and her poems are often created with, or at the same time as, handmade DIY pamphlets. Most of her work is (deliberately) not available online or digitally.
