About this event
Join in with this free 4-week course on writing for self-expression at Bury St Edmunds Library, led by professional poet Rebecca Goss!
You'll have the opportunity to listen to Rebecca read her poems aloud, join in with a friendly discussion about how the words feel and sound to you, and then explore your own self-expression using some gentle writing prompts.
It’s a safe space for you to put your thoughts and feelings into words in ways that foster personal awareness, resilience and wellbeing. There’s no pressure, prep or homework! You don't need any experience of writing or even reading - just come along and enjoy!
These workshops are free to attend, no need to book.
About Rebecca Goss:
Rebecca Goss is a poet, tutor and mentor living in Suffolk. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Cardiff University and a PhD by Publication from the University of East Anglia.
Rebecca has written numerous poetry collections and pamphlets including The Anatomy of Structures (2010), Her Birth (2013), Carousel (2018), Girl (2019) and Latch (2023), which is set in Suffolk. She was a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge 2020-22 and at the University of Suffolk 2022-23.
