Join us at Leiston Library for our Tonic: Singing for Health sessions for adults! These free, friendly and accessible sessions are led by singing leader and composer Francis Goodhand and are particularly suited for people living with a variety of health challenges, but open to all.

You don’t have to be an experienced singer and you can choose which songs to join in with. Each workshop will include breathing exercises, gentle vocal warm ups and a range of songs, old and new. Sessions are seated and cater for people living with a range of mobility and health needs.

These sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 12:00. It’s completely free to attend and you don’t have to book – just come along! We always finish with social time over a complimentary cuppa.

Research has shown that singing regularly with others has many health benefits including:

  • Improvement of cardiorespiratory functions and immune system
  • Reduction of stress hormone levels
  • Increased feelings of connection with others
  • Supporting brain health as we age.

All activities are optional, and it’s fine to join in as much or as little as you want to. Guide dogs and companions are warmly welcomed to join us.

These sessions have been organised in collaboration with Cohere Arts.
