Join us at Saxmundham Library for gentle Qigong exercise classes, led by Marcus. As part of our Compassionate Movement project, these classes are for anyone on their cancer journey and their carers.

No need to book – just drop in. Make sure you're wearing comfortable clothing that you can move in.


What is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is a low impact mind-body exercise that combines gentle movement, meditation, and breathing techniques. It is based on traditional Chinese principles, which state that qi, or energy, is present in everyone’s body. Qigong aims to optimise energy within the body, mind, and spirit.


Health benefits of Qigong include: 
  • reduced stress levels 
  • improved balance 
  • increased muscle strength in your legs
  • improved general mobility and flexibility

These classes are organised in collaboration with Art For Cure and Compassionate Communities.
