Slaughter in Southwold: Author talk with Tim Sullivan

Join us for a special Slaughter in Southwold author talk with Tim Sullivan! Tim will be talking to us about his career so far and his latest novel, The BooksellerThis event takes place at Southwold Arts Centre, IP18 6JP.

Tickets are £6 each. Available to book online via TicketSource. Alternatively you can get an All Day Saturday ticket, an All Day Sunday ticket or a Weekend Pass.

Tim Sullivan is a crime writer, screenwriter and director whose film
credits include A Handful of Dust, Jack and Sarah, and Cold Feet.
Early in his career he directed Jeremy Brett’s iconic portrayal of
Sherlock Holmes in ITV’s The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes, cementing his
lifelong passion for crime fiction.  Tim lives in North London with his
wife Rachel, the Emmy Award-winning producer of The Barefoot Contessa and Pioneer Woman. Tim’s critically acclaimed crime series features the
brilliantly persistent DS George Cross who has Autistic Spectrum
Condition. The clever, twisty, touching and funny series has won an army
of fans now sold more than half a million copies.

The Bookseller is the
seventh in the series. When the body of a bookseller is
discovered, collapsed in a pool of blood in his Bristolian bookshop, it
is immediately clear that he has been murdered. What is unclear is how
someone could have met such a violent end in this quiet, peaceful place.
DS Cross is adept at dismissing red-herrings but a worrying
development in his personal life has left him hopelessly distracted,
leaving his usual means of deciphering evidence challenged.  The world
of bookselling is a quiet one, but it is full of passionate and
ambitious characters. They know a rare book equals a big payout – and
their extensive reading means they also know the best ways to get away
with murder…

This event is part of Slaughter in Southwold, an annual celebration of crime and thriller at Southwold Arts Centre. In partnership with Southwold Library and the Crime Writers’ Association (CWA).
