Join singer-songwriter-guitarist Charlie Law for this free creative workshop at Chantry Library! This is part of The Blank Page Project which offers high-quality creative workshops for 10-16 year olds during the school holidays. Learn how to write a song from scratch and record it! Fostering musical play, creativity and fun.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include a free lunch, drinks and snacks!
Starting the day with some fun and simple musical games, participants will develop a chorus with Charlie before learning how to structure a song and write verses in breakout groups using rhyming words. The group will collaborate to perform the song, which will be recorded at the end of the day. Participants will receive a recording of the song, and get thinking about what song they’re going to write next!
