Volunteer with us

Make a difference in your community

Volunteering with Suffolk Community Libraries is a meaningful way to support your local community while gaining valuable skills and experience.

Our volunteers are essential to the success of our services and activities. They work alongside paid staff, not in place of them, helping to enhance what we offer to local people.

Ways You Can Get Involved

We offer a wide variety of volunteer roles, including:

  • Helping to combat social isolation through our Explore Together service
  • Supporting children’s literacy by assisting with Reading Quest
  • Joining library Member Groups or helping run community events and fundraisers
  • Assisting with library events and activities
  • Delivering books to people who are elderly or disabled through our Home Library Service
