About this event
Join us at Hadleigh Library for the special launch event of our new Brainworks Dementia Library project to learn more about how the project can help people living with dementia.
The Brainworks Dementia Library is a unique Suffolk Community Libraries collection designed to support people living with dementia, as well as their families, friends and carers across Babergh and Mid Suffolk.
The launch event takes place from 12:00 to 16:00 and is open to everyone, but specifically aimed at older adults living with dementia and their family and carers.
The collection includes a range of free-to-borrow resources, from memory games, conversation cards and scrapbooks to jigsaws, sunrise alarms and dementia-friendly clocks. Every item has been specially selected with people living with dementia in mind.
More information about the project will be announced soon. At the launch there will be a variety of items available in the scheme for people to try out and borrow.
The Brainworks Dementia Library project is a partnership beween Suffolk Community Libraries, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils, Shaftesbury Suffolk Memory, and Dementia Support.
