Join artist and library assistant Wendy Finbow at Bury St Edmunds Library and learn how to create poetry from the unexpected! This is part of O Projeto Página em Branco which offers high-quality creative workshops for 10-16 year olds during the school holidays.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks! Book this workshop on Eequ.
This 'Found Poetry' workshop invites you to transform existing text into striking poems and visual art. Through playful experimentation and creative discovery, you'll learn basic techniques for finding meaning, rhythm and the story hidden within the page using both black-out and collage 'Found Poetry'.
How to book
Workshops must be booked in advance. You can book online via Eequ. If your booking is made within 72 hours of the workshop, we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements. Please get in touch with the library location for the workshop to discuss options.
Please note that whilst we welcome all young people, our staff are not specifically SEND trained.
This workshop is for 10-16 year olds only. If you feel your child requires additional support in the form of adult attendance in order to access this workshop, contact us by emailing blankpage@suffolk.gov.uk.

About Wendy Finbow
Wendy Finbow is a creative person with a passion for 'Found Poetry', transforming everyday words and phrases into thoughtful and imaginative works. She has worked for the library service in Suffolk for over ten years. As part of her job Wendy uses her artistic skills to design engaging displays and develop creative craft ideas for children.
