About this event
Join professional artist Laura Jayne Fisk at Chantry Library and learn how to create your very own abstract nature canvas! This is part of O Projeto Página em Branco which offers high-quality creative workshops for 10-16 year olds during the school holidays.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks! Book this workshop on Eequ.
Let’s create a piece of art full of texture, shape, pattern and life, that’s fun and unique to you. You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of paint techniques using acrylics and apply these to your very own abstract floral, field or forest canvas.
Think layers of your favourite colours, flowers, trees, trunks and grasses set on the back drop of your choice, dark and moody, bright and breezy, the choice is yours. Together we will create something very special and ultimately something you’re really proud of.
How to book
Workshops must be booked in advance. You can book online via Eequ. If your booking is made within 72 hours of the workshop, we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements. Please get in touch with the library location for the workshop to discuss options.
Please note that whilst we welcome all young people, our staff are not specifically SEND trained.
This workshop is for 10-16 year olds only. If you feel your child requires additional support in the form of adult attendance in order to access this workshop, contact us by emailing blankpage@suffolk.gov.uk.

About Laura Jayne Fisk
Suffolk based artist Laura Jayne Fisk, has worked as a professional artist for over 10 years. She specialises in illustrative studies of animals using graphite and is also known for creating large scale abstract floral paintings, these original pieces have run alongside her own successful homeware range.
Having worked for a number of years as an art teacher and also as a wig dresser & make-up artist in the West End, Laura brings a wealth of knowledge of artistic techniques, experience and passion to her workshops and beyond.
