Join storyteller Dan Sedgwick at Gainsborough Community Library and re-imagine some of Suffolk's scariest tales! This is part of O Projeto Página em Branco which offers high-quality creative workshops for 10-16 year olds during the school holidays.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks! Book this workshop on Eequ.
We'll be spending the day reading up on eerie Suffolk legends, mysterious tales and folklore, featuring characters such as the Black Shuck and the Green Children of Woolpit. Children will listen to local stories inspired by Suffolk folklore and then create and share their own spooky tales, bringing new life to old legends through imaginative storytelling!
How to book
Workshops must be booked in advance. You can book online via Eequ. If your booking is made within 72 hours of the workshop, we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements. Please get in touch with the library location for the workshop to discuss options.
Please note that whilst we welcome all young people, our staff are not specifically SEND trained.
This workshop is for 10-16 year olds only. If you feel your child requires additional support in the form of adult attendance in order to access this workshop, contact us by emailing blankpage@suffolk.gov.uk.

Dan is a storyteller, former teacher, and dad of five with a passion for myths, legends, and all things mysterious. He loves taking old tales and turning them into exciting new stories for modern audiences.
