Join actor and freelance drama and dance teacher Angela Laverick at Lowestoft Library and learn how to make your own unique mask! This is part of O Projeto Página em Branco which offers high-quality creative workshops for 10-16 year olds during the school holidays.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks! Book this workshop on Eequ.
This is a fun, interactive and lively full mask workshop. Participants will make their own mask, create their own characters and tell their own stories. It introduces them to full mask theatre and the devising process. They gain confidence in a safe and encouraging environment, using the mask to explore new techniques and styles of performance.
Participants can let their imagination and creativity shine while telling stories that are important to them. This is also a great way to meet new friends, make meaningful connections and have a laugh!
How to book
Workshops must be booked in advance. You can book online via Eequ. If your booking is made within 72 hours of the workshop, we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements. Please get in touch with the library location for the workshop to discuss options.
Please note that whilst we welcome all young people, our staff are not specifically SEND trained.
This workshop is for 10-16 year olds only. If you feel your child requires additional support in the form of adult attendance in order to access this workshop, contact us by emailing blankpage@suffolk.gov.uk.

About Angela Laverick
Angela Laverick is an actor and freelance teacher of drama and dance, specialising in physical theatre and mask. She creates and runs workshops for all ages and abilities. Her workshops are many and varied, including, mask, mask making, puppetry, physical theatre, storytelling and dance.
She is also Co-founder of Tor Theatre who work mainly in educational and community settings.
