Join Lucy Shepherd and Jodi Peck from Twigs CIC at Great Cornard Library and learn how to make your own oak gall ink! This is part of O Projeto Página em Branco which offers high-quality creative workshops for 10-16 year olds during the school holidays.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks! Book this workshop on Eequ.
In this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to make your own oak marble gall ink and learn about the significant historical uses of this ink in literature. During this workshop with Twigs, participants will learn how to identify oak trees and their galls, learning about the species, how galls are created, and how to process these to make ink.
How to book
Workshops must be booked in advance. You can book online via Eequ. If your booking is made within 72 hours of the workshop, we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements. Please get in touch with the library location for the workshop to discuss options.
Please note that whilst we welcome all young people, our staff are not specifically SEND trained.
This workshop is for 10-16 year olds only. If you feel your child requires additional support in the form of adult attendance in order to access this workshop, contact us by emailing blankpage@suffolk.gov.uk.

Twigs is a nature connection CIC led by Lucy Shepherd and Jodi Peck. We use natural materials, foraging and wildlife based activities to deepen people’s connection with the natural world. Our work blends creative activities with time outdoors to support wellbeing, confidence and a sense of belonging in nature.
