About this event
Join multi-disciplinary artist Eleanor Rodwell at Stowmarket Library and learn how to use clay and found objects to create your own plaster cast design to take home! This is part of O Projeto Página em Branco which offers high-quality creative workshops for 10-16 year olds during the school holidays.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks! Book this workshop on Eequ.
Explore the Stitching Stowmarket Library Garden with artist Eleanor Rodwell, with a day of gardening, collage and casting. The group will explore flowers, make seed-bombs and take home their own unique botanical plaster cast inspired by the garden.
Participants will press found objects (mostly natural like leaves, seedheads, shells, twigs, feathers – but some small manmade ones too) into rolled-out clay. They will then put a plastic ring around their design, seal the outside with more clay, and Eleanor will pour plaster into their mould. Once set, the clay and ring can be removed, and they will be left with a small plaster impression of their design.
Eleanor can include hooks or holes in the process so you can hang it once home.
