You can sign up at any time during the school holidays to start your journey.<\/p>\n You don’t need to read a set number of books – our summer reading programme is designed to encourage children to enjoy reading at their own pace in a fun, interactive way. Reading for pleasure helps children build self-esteem and improve wellbeing throughout life.<\/p>\n Each time you visit the library, bring your case file back to receive a sticker or two to celebrate your reading journey! The case file has space for tracking books read, stickers and activities that children and families can complete together.<\/p>\n Children will be encouraged to take part in activities and experiences across the summer rather than read an expected number of books. There are plenty of ideas and challenges to choose from and we hope families will actively engage with reading for pleasure together.<\/p>\n Children can bring their case files back to the library to stamp each completed activity with a sticker and share what they\u2019ve read.
