The issue with the library catalogue system is now resolved and customers can now renew and reserve books online via their library account.

We are pleased to reassure customers that this week’s issue with our library catalogue software, Sypdus, was short-lived and resolved quickly.

It’s important to stress that the issue was in no way connected to our new website or the transfer of the library service to the county council.

The online catalogue is exactly the same system as was used by Suffolk Libraries for the past 13 years. As with any system, occasional disruptions and faults can and have been experienced over this period.

We apologise to customers for the inconvenience over the past few days but the system should now be back to normal.

On Thursday (26 June) Suffolk Community Libraries renewed customer loans which were due back imminently, until Friday 4 July. This extended date still stands but people can now access their accounts and view and manage their loans as usual.

Please follow us on Facebook for future updates and news about the library service.
