Dementia Support

Find information, practical support, social opportunities and specialist resources for those living with dementia.

Suffolk Community Libraries is committed to helping people live well with dementia by providing access to information, practical support, social opportunities and specialist resources within local communities.

Libraries are uniquely placed to deliver this support. They are trusted community spaces that are free to access, welcoming to all and located across Suffolk. Library staff regularly help people find information, connect with local services and discover activities that support wellbeing.

We also offer a special type of library card if you are living with dementia. The Memory Library Card incurs no fees or charges, so if customers forget to return library items on time, they won’t be charged. Please ask at your library about a memory card.

If you have any questions about our dementia support scheme, email wellbeing@suffolk.gov.uk.
