Library opening hours over the festive period

We’re letting our customers know about library opening hours over the festive period.

All libraries will be closed on the following days:

• Wednesday 24 December
• Thursday 25 December
• Friday 26 December
• Thursday 1 January

Libraries will also be closing earlier at 16:00 on Wednesday 31 December but will be open as normal at all other times. Please check with your local library to see their regular opening hours. Return dates on library loans due back on these days will automatically be adjusted.

Our Customer Service helpdesk will also be unavailable for the above dates. If you have a query regarding your account, please email library.help@suffolk.gov.uk and a member of the team will respond when they are back at work. Your local library may also be open on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 December if you need help with your account.

Libraries will continue to operate as warm spaces during opening hours. For local warm spaces outside of library opening hours, please refer to the Suffolk County Council website.

The mobile libraries will be running as usual, apart from on the bank holidays and dates listed above. You can view the mobile library timetables online.

Our extensive eLibrary services will still be available for you to access any time on your devices.
