Suffolk Community Libraries has relaunched the LinkedIn Learning service which offers free access to more than 25,000 online courses.
Suffolk was the first library service in the UK to launch LinkedIn Learning in 2024, offering a treasure trove of free online courses to anyone with a library card.
Since last year the number of courses has been boosted to over 25,000! Courses cover a huge range of topics including business, computer technology, software and creative skills, all led by experts in their fields.
Whether you want to improve your IT skills or learn how to play the piano, there’s something for everyone. There are courses on IT, photography, social media, project management and plenty more.
Cllr Nadia Cenci, Suffolk County Council’s Cabinet member for Communities said:
“These online courses are a great opportunity for people to learn a new skill, whether it’s to help boost your career or job prospects or to try something for the first time. I’m a great believer in continual learning, whatever the age or level of knowledge, and so I’m delighted that our library members can benefit from these high quality, free courses.”
It’s free and easy to get a Suffolk Community Libraries account – you can sign up in any library or online. If you just want to sign up simply to get access to LinkedIn Learning that’s fine – a library card opens up a whole world of opportunity but it’s up to you how you use it!
The free on-demand LinkedIn Learning courses are available in seven languages, and you can also download a certificate of completion once you finish a course.
You don’t even need a LinkedIn social media profile. To access the courses, just visit the LinkedIn Learning website and sign up with your library card number and PIN. You can then browse and choose any or as many courses you like and complete them in your own time. There is no limit on how many courses you can do.
You can also download the LinkedIn Learning app from the Sklep z aplikacjami Lub Google Play which will allow you to download courses for offline viewing.
