Stories of Us: New creative group for 14-18 year olds starting at Beccles Library

A new series of free creative workshops aimed at 14-18 year olds will soon be starting at Beccles Library.

Stories of Us is a new programme delivered in partnership with Suffolk Artlink and East Suffolk Council. The programme starts on Friday 25 September and offers different workshop themes for teens and young adults on exploring identity, heritage and self-expression through books, storytelling and creativity.

Workshops take place every other Friday from 4pm to 6pm. The full programme is as follows:

• 25 September and 9 October: Exploring Self-Expression
• 23 October and 6 November: Exploring My Community & Shared Spaces
• 20 November and 4 December: Exploring Identity.

A special launch event is taking place on Friday 11 September which offers young people the chance to meet, chat, and try out creative activities over refreshments. This launch event is free to attend but booking is encouraged due to limited spaces. Tickets can be booked on-line no TicketSource.

Throughout the programme, participants are invited to work towards creating a collaborative zine that brings together everything they have learned at each workshop, which will be on display at a public exhibition at Beccles Library.
